WELCOME BACK BARBECUE
(Spring 2018 initiate) Brother Obi Ifediora introducing himself to the Black Community the only way he knows how - with style and smile.
In Community
Each year, as students return for classes and new students arrive on campus, the Black Student Union (BSU) hosts a welcome back barbecue to help welcome in both new and returning students to Brown University's Black community. Beta Omega Chi has for several years collaborated with the BSU in hosting the event. This calendar event typically takes place in early September.
WOMEN'S ADMIRATION WEEK
Celebrating The Women of our community
Each year, Beta Omega Chi hosts a week-long series of events in appreciation of the women of Brown University. A key symbol of the event is the distribution of flowers to women on the Main Green.
GLOBAL SOLIDARITY
A major pillar of Beta Omega Chi's mission is social engagement. In the aftermath of the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapping in 2014 and the start of the subsequent Bring Back Our Girls Campaign, Beta Omega Chi decided to mobilize and express their voice - along with others in the Brown University community.
